On his arrival as tenth Bishop in the Diocese of Springfield, Bishop Byrne declared that God is not done with Western Massachusetts. This weekend, starts the Year of the Eucharist in the Diocese of Springfield. There have been various promos for the year, and we can’t wait to get started! The opening Mass for the Year of the Eucharist will be this Sunday, November 21 at 4pm in St. Michael’s Cathedral. Our Parish has two liaisons to the Year of the Eucharist Committee. They are Joseph and Rosa Lamothe, and I am so pleased that they have agreed to do this important task. Parish liaisons will gather information from the committee to bring to our parish. Please be on the lookout this year for various bulletin announcements, and ways in which we can center our understanding around the Eucharist together as a Church here in Forest Park and beyond. God bless you and don’t be afraid to go deeper in our relationship with Christ. God is not done with us!
Peace and Blessings,
Fr. David Aufiero, Pastor
